I finally went through with it ... I got my hair cut for the first time in my new town! I decided to go with the Rock n Roll salon (if you have been reading my blogs for a while you may remember from my earlier post "Wanted: Hair Stylist" that there were two choices) and I am happy that I did! I LOVE my haircut, she did a fantastic job! She listened to what I said I wanted, she understood the difficulties of cutting curly hair and how it shrinks way more after its dry than anyone ever really believes. She just thinned the volume and cut the layers to lighten up the curls and give them back their bounce ... perfection!
I am so thrilled, I almost can't wait to go back again ... but I will, because I don't need to over do it! Even Hubby is really happy with it, and he usually doesn't like it after its cut because its shorter and he likes it better long.
So, it was a complete success, I will definitely be going back, and next time I might even have them add some funky color just for fun!
This experience has given me hope, so now it is time to find a doctor and a dentist. While these people are less critical than the hair stylist, they are still important to have around so I am now on the hunt for one of each ... for each of us! We can actually all share a dentist, but we all need our own separate doctor, just to complicate things a little. Why not, right? Gotta keep things interesting!
Anyone have any suggestions on how to pick a great doctor in a new area where you don't have anyone you trust locally to ask for help? Thought I'd ask, just in case!
