I wanted to share some news I just heard. Beginning on November 17th around 11:00pm, through 4:00am November 18th (PST), the Leonid Meteor Shower will be happening. The strongest showing will apparently be visible in Asia, according to Space.com, but will also be visible from North America and other places around the world.

Here on the West Coast, we will basically be able to see "shooting stars" every few minutes and since the new moon (no, NOT the movie) begins on November 16th, the sky will be nice and dark to make visibility even better.

I have seen a meteor shower once before, while I was living on the East Coast, and it is pretty amazing! I highly recommend losing a little sleep and making the time to experience this.
